SCHOOL OF BARDIC WISDOM
The Hazel Grove School of Bardic Wisdom is designed to give you a deeper understanding of the Myths and Legends of the Gaelic speaking people of Ireland and Scotland. Our Celtic ancestors saved these stories for us and handed them down from generation to generation. These myths and legends are an integral part of our ancestral heritage and they contain many of the hidden keys to our ancestral wisdom. Anyone who claims a desire to walk the path of the Celtic shaman needs to have these stories in their hearts.
If you are planning to enter the Faery Shamans Apprenticeship Program and you plan to take only one pre-qualifying program, take this one. It will be a good foundation for your apprenticeship work.
All Society of Celtic Shamans programs are ON-LINE. Our classroom is ON-LINE. You will need to access your lessons ON-LINE. If you are not COMPLETELY COMFORTABLE with working ON-LINE please do not register for any of our programs.
We are accepting students in the first year of the program. This is a two year program. The first year – twelve months – is dedicated to Irish myths and legends.
We now offer a second year of Hazel Grove studies. The second year is devoted to Welsh myths and legends. You need to complete year one in the Hazel Grove before you are eligible to register for year two.
There are plans to arrange a third year of Arthurian myths and legends in the future.

- We do not teach people how to be psychic.
- We do not teach core shamanism.
- We do not teach or promote British-Israelism/Anglo-Israelism or support the Identity Movement in any way, shape, or form.
- Out of respect for the spiritual values of other peoples - we do not teach the traditions of the North or South American First Nations, Australian Aboriginies, Siberian Shamans, or of any other ethnic or cultural group.
If you wish to learn about Celtic spritiual traditions, history, culture, and myths you may find the Hazel Grove to your liking. If you are mainly interested in witchcraft, fortune-telling, Native North/South American traditions, or core shamanism you will not like the Hazel Grove.

If I am accepted into the Hazel Grove School of Bardic Wisdom what will be expected of me?
Hazel Grove students are expected to:
- Maintain the highest ethical standards as stated in the Faery Shamans Code of Ethics
- Participate in a meaningful way in the study group
- Respect the other members of our on-line community
- Pay their tuitions in the manner described

Can I enroll in more than one program at once?
The Hazel Grove School of Bardic Wisdom is a truly comprehensive course in the myths and legends our Celtic ancestors handed down to us. Students who have enrolled in the Hazel Grove and/or the Oak Grove and/or the University, all at the same time, have had trouble keeping up. One of the reasons for this is the programs involve initiations. Undergoing too many initiations at once is not a good thing to do. Therefore, we no longer allow any student to enroll in more than one program. BACK
Why should I enroll in the Hazel Grove School of Bardic Wisdom?
Because you have a true and deep-seated desire to learn more about the path of the Celtic Shaman.
As one of the Hazel Folk you gain access to restricted areas of our website, including the Hazel Grove study pages. In addition you are allowed to join a very special e-list, The_Hazel_Grove@yahoogroups.com, the study group of the Hazel Grove School of Bardic Wisdom. This group is for folks, like you, who want to learn more about the Celtic Tradition – who want to teach others what they have learned about the ancient paths walked by our Ancestors – who want to share their spiritual journey with others who are on the same path. Whether you are new to the Faery Faith or an 'old hand' you will find your way easier and your path brighter if you share it with others. BACK

Why do you want me to fill out a form?
The shaman's path is one of wisdom, power and beauty. Those who undertake to walk it must be truly dedicated and inspired. This is not a course of studies to be undertaken lightly or out of mere curiosity. When you fill out the form you are doing the following:
- Providing our Moderator with some information about yourself
- Entering into certain agreements with the SCS, which protect you and the Society
- Agreeing to abide by the Faery Shaman's Code of Ethics, which protects you and all our relations in this and Otherworlds

What about my privacy?
Neither the Society of Celtic Shamans nor any of its officers or trustees will ever give, sell, trade, exhange or in any way or under any conditions transmit the information on your registration form to anyone – ever. BACK
How much is the tuition fee?
The tuition fees for the Hazel Grove School of Bardic Wisdom are $135 for the twelve month program. There are no other fees or charges and no books for you to buy.

Do you ever make exceptions for folks who are on fixed incomes or unemployed?
No. If you cannot afford to join the Hazel Grove at this time, please do join our free public discussion group. BACK
When will my Hazel Grove program begin?
When we receive your registration form and your $135 tuition fee you will be contacted within twenty-four hours. In that message you will be given all the details of when your program will start. Generally speaking, we start new students' in their programs around the 1st of each month. Should we fail to contact you within 48 hours after you have completed your enrolment, please contact us. Sometimes the web gremlins like to play tricks and messages may go astray. BACK
