You MUST be descended from the Celtic speaking peoples of Western Europe (Gaul & Celtiberia—France, Belgium, Switzerland, Northern Spain), Britain, Wales, Ireland, Scotland or the Isle of Man to enroll in this particular program. People in this program work with their OWN Celtic ancestor guides. If you have no Celtic ancestors you can have no Celtic ancestor guides. You don't have to be 'pure Celtic' to be in the program but you do need one or more ancestors from Western Europe (Gaul & Celtiberia—France, Belgium, Switzerland, Northern Spain), Britain, Wales, Ireland, Scotland or the Isle of Man. We do NOT teach core shamanism. We teach CELTIC shamanism.
The Society of Celtic Shamans presently offers an apprenticeship program, designed to give the student a firm grounding in
and a comprehensive knowledge of the beliefs, traditions and skills one needs in
order to be a Faery Shaman. Many Faery Shamans establish practices as healers
and counsellors. In whatever direction your path takes you, your spiritual life
will re-awaken and your day to day life will benefit greatly from the spiritual
principles you learn in this program.
Each apprentice is mentored by Tira Brandon-Evans who is the Founder and Moderator of the Society of Celtic Shamans and a Certified Faery Shaman herself. Tira is available to respond to your questions as they arise. As an apprentice you will be admitted to Merlin's Enclosure. This is a private place on-line where apprentices can meet with one another, share experiences, ask questions, and form friendships with other apprentices. At least once a month you will be expected to share your thoughts and experiences in regards to your program with the other apprentices in Merlin's Enclosure. Merlin is, of course, Tira's ancestor guide, Grandfather Merlin, who is the true teacher and spiritual mentor of all apprentices in this program.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION - YEAR ONE
This first year program is designed to give the dedicated student the tools she/he needs in order to enter the Inworlds at will and return with full memory of all that took place there. During the course of study you will meet your animal and ancestor guides, teachers and protectors. You will learn to travel in the various realms of Faerie and begin to work with the elementals as well as the Green Folk and Nature Spirits. Those who successfully complete this program will receive certificates of completion and are then qualified to continue with Year Two of the program.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION - YEAR TWO
In this second year program you will discover the meaning of the traditional festivals and gain understanding of the Circle of Life, (the Celtic 'Medicine Wheel'), while learning to work in closer harmony with the elemental energies of each direction. Those who successfully complete the second year of the program will recieve a certificate of completion which states that they are recognized Faery Shamans, initiates of the Mysteries of the Faery Faith.
