by Shannogh

I am the whisper before the storm,
In the darkness from which you were born,
I have climbed the misty mountain peaks,
And walked the heights,
On the quest to seek endless sight,
I was present at the moment of the babies first cry,
And in the breath of the old mans last sigh,
You can see me in the smile of a dancing child,
Or in the eyes of young lovers passion uncontrolled and wild,
I touch you in the breeze of a warm summers day,
And in the darkness of night I am the light that guides the way
I will walk with you in both joy and sadness,
And bring you visions to see through the coming madness,
My love is the wellspring from which your life flows,
I am the one you have always sought to know,
I am Awen

The name Shannogh is my shamanic name so in fitting in with the theme of the poem it's the right one to use.Basically, I'm an English guy who's been living in Transylvania for nearly five years now studying the local traditions, superstitions, customs and "magic. I'm in the process of setting up ten yurts on my land for eco-tourism and shamanic practices as I live in the mountains in an isolated place on the edge of a forest along with the local brown bears and wolves. It's in the Hungarian speaking part of Transylvania and my house is called Lelek utaztato (translated it's "spirit walker"). Contact Shannogh at: shannogh@yahoo.com.
