Grandfather Merlin, my ancestor guide, gave me the journeys in this book. These journeys are for you and for everyone who wishes to pursue Inworld initiations with the Shining Ones.
Anyone, even the newest beginner, may benefit from these journeys. I have kept this book as simple and easy to follow as possible. I have not included any explanations of what the various animals and Shining Folk represent. Just as we are the best interpreters of our own dreams, so we are each best qualified to interpret our own journeys. Applying rigid definitions to mythopoeic or archetypal figures and experiences is not always the best way to understand journeys or dreams. A horse in my dream may mean one thing and have another meaning to someone else. So I have avoided layering my perceptions onto these journeys. You are the one who will make the journeys and you are the one who will discover what each one means to you.
All instructions you need to undertake these journeys are contained in this book and it is not necessary for you purchase any other. However, if you are just setting out on your spiritual path and are not familiar with the techniques of shamanic journeys you may find the Green and Burning Tree: A Faery Shamans Handbook useful.
If it is your desire to walk the path of the Faery Shaman you should be aware that this path is not one that can be learned overnight. Care and patience and hard work are required if you would walk in the Shining Country and be called a Faery Friend by the Fair Folk who dwell there.
